     The Back to Basics company lives up to its name when it comes to designing and manufacturing kitchen appliances that really do get you back to the basics in style.  Back to Basics produces blenders, kitchen tools, juicers, and food processing tools ideal for both small and large kitchen operations.  Back to Basics’ motto is “food, family, and fun” and those are the three things they consider when designing their products.

     A good example of living up to their company name is seen in the Back to Basics Blender Express model.  This compact blender does a fantastic job of making up smoothies, frozen drinks, protein smoothies, cold coffee drinks, and crushing ice.  The powerful 300-watt motor produces your cold drink in about 30 seconds.  Two speeds and a pulse option give you all the power you need to make your drinks smooth and delicious.  The unique design of this blender is what really makes it convenient.  The blender jar doubles as the drinking mug!  The jar is insulated to keep your drink cold. The mug has a flip-up lid that is easy to take on the go.  Additional mugs can be purchased for this blender so that you can send each child to school with a protein smoothie in hand, and still enjoy one yourself.  The mug is even designed with your vehicles’ cup holder in mind, so feel free to take it along to work with you.  Consumers who have purchased and used this model of Back to Basics blender rave about the convenience and the easy clean up.  You can find this model in white or a brushed chrome to fit your kitchen’s décor. 
 
     The next step up from the Back to Basics Express model is the Express Plus.  This -blender comes with a more powerful motor at 350 to 400-watts and a few more bells and whistles.  This model includes:

• Two large, 20-ounce insulated blending travel mugs
• Two sipping rims and two leak-proof drinking lids that can be closed if desired
• There are 11 pieces in all with this model.
• Just like the previous model, this one is very easy to use and easy to clean.  The size of the basic base is a mere 6w x 5.5d x 13.25h, so it would be an ideal size to send along with your college student or for anyone who has issues with kitchen counter or storage space.  Clean up is easy with all pieces (other than the base of course) dishwasher safe. 

     Back to Basics also manufactures a Smoothie Elite Blender that is ideal for whipping up larger batches of smoothies or frozen drinks.  Consumers seem to like the Smoothie machine for the most part, but did express frustration with the cleaning of it.  The instructions clearly say not to place any of the parts into the dishwasher, meaning all pieces need to be washed by hand.  If you are entertaining and want to make different flavored drinks for each guest, the smoothie container must be completely cleaned in between each drink.  That could become cumbersome if you have a large group.  However, overall, for a family, the Smoothie Elite Blender works well and delivers a smooth, delicious drink every time.
